Finally, I heard a story about a coach interviewed on TV about his teams losing streak. The coach paused when asked about his thoughts, then remarked, “We would have been undefeated if there wasn’t another team on the field”. We must never forget that fact in our faith expression. Though Jesus paved the way for abundant living, there’s also another team on the field of life, aiming to steal our peace, kill our joy and destroy our confidence in God. We must be fearless in our faith because life is fruitful, abundant and rewarding, but also serious – because evil is always present (Rom. 7:21)…
Lord, provide for me the pathway to abundant living. Help me to focus in and be serious about living fearlessly in my faith, and keep me mindful of evil, in Jesus name, AMEN
