Together Fearlessly

4  For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Romans 12:4,5

“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”  We are spiritually stronger acknowledging our connections to each other and nurturing them, than sitting collectively as isolated individuals.  We come from different backgrounds, different walks of life, different class and status strata; and we all sit together in a place to worship the same God.  Paul had to deal with the inevitable scrapes and conflicts that go with so many different people coming together, and used the human body itself as a way to understand how we can “all get along”.  Ask yourself today:  how can you help to make fellowshipping with saints stronger?…

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through [the] message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:20-21)   AMEN
