Fearless Attitude

12  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12

I think these are good words to meditate on during your quiet time.  Be joyful…patient…faithful.  Seeing the words in this way, and thinking about what they mean in the Christian context, don’t they blend well together?  Can’t you see yourself having a better day with these three in operation in your life?  We receive all this from God, and we should reflect them in our daily walk.  They are states of “being”, which means joy, patience and faithfulness tap into the essence of who we are.  In other words, you don’t have to seek joy, patience and faithfulness today – be still, and ask the Lord to help you discover your portions from within.  Its there, believe me!  And may your day be better than yesterday…

Gracious God, my heart is ready to burst with joy.  You have been patient with me in my humanness and stubbornness. Let my joy shine forth so that those cloaked by sadness may find their sorrow lifted.  Prompt me to be more jubilant in hope, more patient in times of trouble, and more consistent in my prayer life.  Teach me, Lord, to wait with faith and expectancy.  I ask this for the sake of Your love,   AMEN

God bless,
