| “The effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much” - James 5:16 Please forgive the brief format change – The photo above captures a meeting of ministers who decided to unite together to combat violence. What makes this meeting unique is that these ministers have not worked together previously – in fact, there was a considerable amount of animosity between us. But God is good – through prayer and reasonable discussion, we (and I include myself in this group) were able to put our egos aside and put the needs of the community and the youth under siege over our petty concerns. Prayer indeed changes things – continue to pray fearlessly for change, for God always hears you. On a personal note, please pray for our family – our house was broken into yesterday while we were at church, and many valuable things were stolen, including the brand new computer I purchased last week (!). I believe your prayers will get to God’s ears, so I thank you for the time you will take to pray for us… |
