Fearless Comfort
 

This passage for me is among the=
ultimate comfort verses in the Bible (I still need a little more of it sin=
ce Sunday!).  Its not just because it starts off with the words “comfo=
rt”, but it is the prophecy that signaled to the nation of Israel that the =
long, painful period of exile was over.  The words let God’s people kn=
ow that an era has passed, and the children can go back home.  They we=
ren’t able to leave foreign lands immediately after receiving it, but the k=
nowledge that times were changing made the difference in many lives.  =
There may be someone who is coming out of a period of trial and tribulation=
in their life.  Hold onto these verses, and read the latter part of t=
his chapter (v. 28-31).  God is able, and The Lord will see you throug=

O God, thank you for the blessing of life, and the blessing of a new d=
ay.  With each breath I realize that I am alive, and that You are stil=
l with me.  Bring me through my troubles, and comfort me with Your wor=
ds. I wait patiently for You to move in my life, in Jesus name, AMEN
