Fearlessly Making Things New
Have you ever met someon=
e who viewed their entire life through the lenses of their bad experiences?=
They would say something like, “if that didn’t happen to me, then I =
wouldn’t be in this situation”, or, “My life is ruined because of this situ=
ation”. We cannot stop bad experiences in our lives, but we can contr=
ol how we react to them. I think bitterness and resentment are forms =
of judgment – a way to characterize our life based on what has happened in =
our past. But God is yesterday, today and forever. God is const=
antly making all things new (v.5). This was the final message in John=
‘s revelation on the Isle of Patmos – that in the midst of pain and trouble=
, God is still in the abundant life business. Which means that, even =
today, your whole life can change from where it was yesterday. So, st=
ay faithful, and walk in faith believing that abundant life is yours…
