, but don’t let self-pity get in the way of the one immutable fact that we =
know about God – that He always provides. The Lord tells Elijah to “g=
o back” the way he came. God made Elijah directly address his fear of=
death by (eventually) confronting the person who threatened to kill him.&n=
bsp; Then the Lord provides by providing protection from Elijah’s enemies, =
and by providing a companion for Elijah – Elisha. Feeling that you ar=
e dealing with your problems alone can amplify your pity. This passag=
e tells me its important to have friends who walk the same spiritual path a=
s you do, and to remember that God will never leave us alone…
Lord, I pray that you settle my spirit, and grant me peace within.&nb=
sp; I ask that you show me Your great provision in my life, and reveal the =
people who are a blessing to me. Gird me up and strengthen me to pres=
s on to finish the day’s race,
