Constant concern over the things that occupy your mind can lead from=
‘why me’ to ‘woe is me’ in a heartbeat. Psalm 37 is all about what d=
o with those feelings of worry (you should read the entire psalm when you g=
et a chance today). When it seems that time and life is passing you b=
y, and everyone is in a better place but you, just wait patiently on the Lo=
rd. Don’t get mad, don’t worry, just keep hoping (placing your faith)=
in Jesus. Someone said you never live longer by worrying – let each =
day worry about itself. Guess who said it? (hint: Mt. 6:27,34).
O God, you are the God of Peace, and I am a worrier. Help me no=
t to waste my time worrying about things about which there is nothing to be=
done, but help me to accept them, and to overcome them. Lord, grant =
me a productive and peaceful day, in Jesus name, AMEN
