Fearless Courage

To call someone “son of David”in those=
days was to invite the wrath and punishment of the powers that be, because=
you were saying that person was the Messiah.  From our point of view,=
he was correct.  In that time period, however, it was a courageous ac=
t.  Or foolhardy, if we judge the crowd’s reaction.  Perhaps he k=
new some people who were healed by Jesus and he wanted the Master to do the=
same for him.  We live in a secular age – a time where its increasing=
ly less acceptable to publicly confess a strong allegiance to Jesus.  =
Despite the pressure to conform, however, just remember:  Jesus desire=
s us to transform…

O God, we thank you for the courage of our confessions.  We prai=
se you because we can declare you as our Savior and stand on the evidence o=
f our faith.  Bless us as we remember Your goodness, mercy and grace.&=
nbsp; In Jesus name, AMEN.

God bless,
