Fearless Mark

At first blush, it looks like an innoc=
uous, mundane verse. But the beginning of Mark is the boldest statement abo=
ut the identity of Jesus.  Mark wrote it during a time of persecution,=
when people who confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior were killed.  This=
Gospel is the recollection of Peter, written down by John Mark, several da=
ys before he was crucified by Rome.  It is clear that Peter had no int=
ention to mince words about his belief that Jesus is the Son of God.  =
The same should go for us.  Use an opportunity today to declare with c=
onfidence your belief in Jesus Christ.  Remember this day is a blessin=
g from the Lord – tell someone of His goodness, mercy and grace in your lif=
e…

Lord, we declare our allegiance in You.  We are so grateful for =
Your presence in our lives.  Present us many opportunities today to ex=
press our gratefulness, in Jesus name we pray,  AMEN.

God bless,

  1. Alban says:

When I think about hope, this section of Romans comes to mind: Therefore, haivng been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction into this grace in which we stand, and we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Rom 5.1-5, NASB).I’m in the kind of season where memorizing this might be helpful I might use this week to do that. What an apt way to enter the Advent season thanks for putting this together, Angela. Looking forward to the next few weeks P.S. I subscribed via Google Reader and haven’t yet received the e-Book help?
