“21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died=
. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”.“
John 11: 21-26
I discovered that fearless faith is also “even now” faith. Martha’s brother Lazarus had been dead 4 days when Jesus came into town. But even in her grief, Martha still had the insight to believe past the death that she experienced in her life. “Even now” she says, “God will give you whatever you ask” That statement opened up possibilities that she couldn’t even dare to imagine – such as her brother actually coming back from the grave (v.23 - 25)! Things may not look well for you in your current situation. Take courage, stand fearlessly before it, and believe that when all hope is lost, Jesus yet provides more hope, and can do the impossible…
Thank you Lord for helping me to see that in the midst of death, you are the Resurrection and the Life. Help me to look in my circumstance today, and declare that “even now” You will make a difference, in Jesus name, AMEN
