A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that=
he had come home. 2 They gathered in such large=
numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he pre=
ached the word to them. Some men came, bringin=
g to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4&=
nbsp;Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made =
an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered t=
he mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw th=
eir faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are for=

ected Ayanna Pressley to her City Council At-Large seat, the first African =
American woman to be elected to a city-wide post.  Against all odds, s=
he was the No. 1 vote-getter, but she didn’t get there by herself. Ayanna h=
ad a little help from her friends (!).

In our text today we have a person with a c=
lear need, but with no means to get the need to Jesus.  His friends he=
lp to make it happen.  Their selfless, creative, sacrificial and lovin=
g action creates the conditions for the Lord to heal the afflicted man.&nbs=
p; So, in what creative, sacrificial and loving ways will you give Jesus th=
is season?  Remember, the Lord does this for you every day of your lif=

 O Lord, help m=
e to think through how I can be a blessing to my friends this season. =
Help me to be attentive to their needs, and lead me to give, in Jesus name=
