As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax =
collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Mat=
thew got up and followed him.

having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and =
ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Phar=
isees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with t=
ax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this,=
Jesus said, ”It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not =
sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

wkins has a special place in my heart. No matter how many years I’ve =
been saved, when I hear his music, it brings me back to who I am, and who G=
od is, and that my destiny is in the Lord’s hands. His music helps to ground me in the real life message of c=
hristian living, which is that our life is always about spiritual change. &=
nbsp;
Matthew, the writer of this gospel, was a tax collector, b=
ut when he heard Jesus he changed his behavior, and introduced his friends =
to the master (v. 10). When challenged by those the who saw no need t=
o change their behavior, Jesus reminded them that we are always in a state =
of sinfulness, therefore always in need of the Great Physician. Remem=
ber you are never so saved that you don’t need to be touched and changed by=
the Lord, so be open to spiritual change everyday…
