Mercy is not a burden that God has to endure, but it is something t=
hat He “delights” in doing.  Micah says God throws our sins away into =
the depths of the sea – to a place so deep that they are no longer recogniz=
able by God.  Ever got angry at a friend, and by the time you were thr=
ough being mad, it was too late to reconcile?  God is not like that.&n=
bsp; God’s desire is reconciliation and moving on (and upwards) in faith, p=
ure and simple.  So, there is no excuse why you cannot show mercy towa=
rds others in your life.  Remember mercy is for the undeserved, and we=
are all undeserving.  Though we do not deserve God’s favor, still God=
‘s mercy makes it possible.  So, today, go, and do likewise…

a prayer for =
mercy

Lord,
remember Chri=
st your son who is peace itself
and who has w=
ashed away our hatred with his blood.
Because you l=
ove all people,
look with mer=
cy on us.
Banish the vi=
olence and evil within us,
and in answer=
to our prayers, restore tranquility and peace…
AMEN=
