5 He who=
was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said,=
“Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Have you ever met someone who viewed their entire=
life through the lenses of their bad experiences? They would say som=
ething like, “if (bad experience) didn’t happen to me, then I wouldn’t be l=
iving like this”, or, “My life is ruined because of XYZ”. If you’ve m=
et someone like that, then they probably envelop themselves in bitter and r=
esentful attitudes. We cannot stop bad experiences in our lives, but =
we can control how we react to them.
God is yesterday, today an=
d forever. God is constantly making all things new (v.5). This =
was the final message in John’s revelation on the Isle of Patmos – that in =
the midst of pain and trouble, God is still in the abundant life business.&=
nbsp; Which means that, even today, your whole life can change for the bett=
er, not bitter. So, stay faithful, and walk in faith believing that a=
bundant life is yours.
Lord, I believe that, even now, you hold to key=
s to my abundant living. Help me to not look to yesterday to assess m=
y attitude for today. Teach me to look forward; to see the newness of=
your grace and mercy, and the opportunity to live abundantly by faith.&nbs=
p; In Jesus name, AMEN =
