It is important for you to be ready for life, because t=
he forces coming against you is crafty and fearless in its own right. &nbsp=
;Our text shows the final temptation of Jesus in the wilderness, where the =
devil seeks to twist scripture to his advantage.  Jesus’s response sho=
ws us the reason why preparing for 2012 is important in the first place.&nb=
sp; We must know the scriptures for ourselves, and understand their meaning=
for our personal lives.  We must know them because Evil also knows th=
em, and can use the Word against us if we’re not careful…

p;O Lord, as we enter into 2012, inc=
rease my knowledge and understanding of your Word.  Help me to know an=
d internalize the scriptures for myself, and apply them to my daily life.&n=
bsp; I ask this day to allow me to draw closer to you, in Jesus name, =
