The Eagle Stirs the Nest =
;
de famous by the Rev. Dr. C. L. Franklin, father of Aretha) is actually par=
t of a song found in the literary collection of Moses. In it, the car=
e and protection of the world is divided among the heavenly council (“sons =
of God”). But the Lord God chooses the nation of Israel solely for hi=
s own. God watches over his people like an eagle over her young. =
; God hovers, shields and guards, catches and carries his people through li=
fe’s ups and downs. Take comfort in knowing that the Lord chose you t=
o be his child. God loves you not out of obligation, but out of the s=
heer desire to love his own, pure and simple. Feels good to know that=
somebody loves you today! Please show me your compassion, Lord. Help me through today so that I wil=
l hope in you again. I believe this promise in your Word to send me fresh m=
ercy each day. Though I can’t see past today, I trust your great love will =
never fail me. Bless this prayer in Jesus name, Amen
