35  Who =
shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or per=
secution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

   ”For yo=
ur sake we face death all day long;
   we are con=
sidered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

 37=
  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who =
loved us. 38  For I am convinced that neither de=
ath nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neit=
her the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be ab=
le to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Another Fearless Thought:  Nothing Can Separate Us.=
..

Romans has no shortage of comfor=
t verses, as you can see above.  Paul wrote the letter to the church a=
t Rome, which at the time had experienced sporadic persecution at the hands=
of the empire.  When Paul said “we are more than conquerors”, he spok=
e from experience.  He endured hardship, violence, pain, ridicule, and=
isolation for the cause of Christ, even by his own fellow Christians!&nbsp=
; But God was with him.  God is with you too.  Read the last two =
verses carefully.  Always remember that when you embrace Jesus, the Lo=
rd embraces you with a loving, everlasting grip.  I’ll end with a pray=
er by Deitrich Bonhoeffer, a German resister and Christian ethicist who was=
arrested and killed by Hitler during WW2.  He wrote this prayer in pr=
ison for his fellow inmates to pray….

 =

O God, early in the morning I cry to you.
Help me to p=
ray
And to concentrate my thoughts on you:
I cannot do this alone.
In me there is darkness,&nbsp=
;
But with you there is light;
I am lonely, but y=
ou do not leave me;
I am feeble in heart, but with you ther=
e is help;
I am restless, but with you there is peace.&nbsp=
;
In me there is bitterness, but with you there is patience;&nbsp=
;
I do not understand your ways,
But you know the=
way for me
Restore me to liberty,
And enab=
le me to live now
That I may answer before you and before m=
e.
Lord, whatever this day may bring,
Your =
name be praised.
