not love us first? We love because we learn to do so. Either b=
y watching our parents, or friends, or listening to R&B songs (I’m old scho=
ol!) or other media, etc., Love is a learned thing. John says it is u=
ltimately a God thing (v. 7). God loves us, and demonstrates that lov=
e by sending Jesus to die for us. As Christians, we love differently becaus=
e God’s love flows through us. God opens the pathway for us to love i=
n ways that an R&B song can never cover. Ask yourself: what does lovi=
ng completely look like in your life (v. 12)? How does God’s love in =
you deepen your love for others?
; Teach me the way of loving completely, and reveal to me how that love wil=
