Fearless Diagnosis
Ever been to a scary movie, and =
watch a scene where someone is about to open a door, and something bad is o=
n the other side, but you don’t know what it is? My anxieties are alw=
ays heightened at that point, because you don’t quite know what is going to=
happen next. Evilness in our lives is more frightening when it dwell=
s in the unknown. The demon-possessed man in our text seemed more omi=
nous when people didn’t know the extent of his problem. But note what=
Jesus does. He asks the malady within the man “what is your name”.&n=
bsp; Jesus knows how to diagnose you, treat you and make you whole. O=
ur Lord names it, and gets to the heart of the matter. You may be tro=
ubled because of sin within. Talk to Jesus today – read what he did f=
or our brother (v. 1-15). The Lord can do it for you…
