Fearless Rock
One reason why I’d like to visit Rome someday is to go to the Vatican.=
The huge church at the center, called the Basilica of St. Peter, is =
built on the place where the Apostle Peter is buried. Gives literal m=
eaning to v. 18 doesn’t it? Here’s the context. Jesus asked his=
friends about what other people say about him. Then after asking the=
m directly what they personally think, Simon gives the answer, “You are the=
Christ”. Because he realizes the truth of Jesus, the Lord calls Simo=
n “Petros” or “Rock”. Never forget the Lord has the power to change y=
our life, change your circumstances, change your name. Peter indeed w=
ent on to help give birth to the movement called Christianity, even though =
he still had his weak moments. And The Master can bring you to a high=
er calling in your humanity…

O God, we thank you for Your name above all names. We =
ask that you touch and change our lives today, and show us that You are the=
