What Is God Saying To You?
This scene is typical of the con=
flict between the crowds and Jesus. The group demands that Jesus clearly st=
ate that he is the Messiah (that’s what “Christ” means), despite the fact t=
hat he did, many times, and performed miracles in his Father’s name. =
But the crowd was determined not to believe because Jesus’s teachings confl=
icted with their traditional views (read v. 27-39). Sometimes the mes=
sage of the Gospel conflicts with how we live our lives, which is why we mu=
st examine ourselves daily.
