Forget About Yourself
Romans was Paul’s great book – a=
text that he knew would be read by those who held the seat of power in the=
world. By the time of the 12th chapter, Paul became reflective, enco=
uraging and instructional to believers who suffered persecutions and indign=
ities at the hand of the powers that be. His first instruction is to =
lose yourself in God. A sacrifice is an offering made where something=
is given up by you to please the One you’re giving to. What ar=
e you giving to the Lord today? Jesus said that those who lose themse=
lves will be found again (Luke 15:25). Read the text carefully. =
