Fearlessly Still

My mornings are special for me.&=
nbsp; I usually wake before dawn, and take time, while I’m making the coffe=
e, to pray for you.  I also spend time being still and quiet.  We=
end our exploration of “God is” by quoting one of my favorite verses.&nbsp=
; The verse is meant to assure those who’ve become anxious to stay calm as =
trouble stirs in life.  I’ve found it revelatory to just be still, and=
realize, in the stillness, that I’m not alone.  That I sit in the pre=
sence of an all-powerful, all-knowing God who orders my steps.  I’ve a=
lso found that this stillness can happen in many different kind of circumst=
ances – as long as you sense the connection with the Lord.  Try it tod=
ay.  Be still in your spirit, and acknowledge that God is God.  I=
t can stabilize you, and set your day right…

Dear Lord, I rejoice in my stillness t=
oday, as I recognize You as my All-in-All.  Reduce my anxieties, and t=
he concerns I have for this day, and bless me in our communion together, in=
Jesus name, AMEN

God bless,
