God is Fearless

Before I leave Psalm 46, I want =
to say something about the refrain which occurs twice.  It reminds us =
that God’s presence is powerful and strong, a fortress that protects and de=
fends.  It also sends a message to the enemy that an attack is ill-adv=
ised.  The last word, “Selah” is a musical word that indicates a pause=
in the song.  Take a few moments today and reflect on the fact that G=
od’s presence is your fortress.  I know it will settle your spirit, an=
d build your confidence to face whatever comes your way…

Lord God, Your light surrounds me, You=
r love enfolds me, Your power protects me, and Your presence watches over m=
e.  Wherever I am, You are… I give thanks, for it all,  AMEN

God bless,
