Fearless Walls

Having self-control in your life=
is important for our spiritual health.  It gives you focus for your d=
aily tasks, strengthens your determination, and reminds you, in a way, of y=
our purpose.  A word from wisdom literature tells us why. A city witho=
ut walls in ancient times is a chaotic, decimated place – one that gets rai=
ded regularly by its enemies.  Our enemy attacks us regularly as well =
(cf. Eph. 6).  We must fortify the walls of our souls and protect ours=
elves from the devil’s wiles.  So ask yourself… what spiritual mater=
ials are your walls made of?
