41 Now Jesus =
sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasur=
y. And many who were rich put in much. 42&n=
bsp; Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quad=
rans. 43 So He called His disciples to Hims=
elf and said to them, ”Assuredly, I say to you that this poor wid=
ow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; 44 for they all put in out of their abundance, but she ou=
t of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”

fering is a mark of spiritual maturity when seen in this way. As our =
Savior saw it (v.44), its all about the attitude. The widow’s contrib=
ution was not based on her need, but on God’s mission (she placed them in t=
he temple treasury). Can we give, not based on what we can afford, or=
on what we have time to do, but on what God’s mission is and our role in i=
t?
o grow and mature in grace. Help me to be more giving, and to take th=
e focus off of my own needs, and to place my attention on Your mission. &nb=
sp;In Jesus name, AMEN
