5, where, after hesitating, Jesus went “a little farther” before he prayed =
the great Gesthemene prayer. Jesus always seemed to go the extr=
a mile, and would encourage that for his disciples. “Love your enemie=
s, bless those who curse you, pray for those who despitefully use you” are =
examples of the Master teaching his principles of going “a little farther”.=
Is there a time today where you can go “a little farther” in y=
our service to the Lord? Can we back up from our self-agendas enough =
today to say, “Yet, not what I will, but what You will”? Remember, wh=
en Jesus went to the cross he went farther than anyone alive or dead, to re=
concile humanity to God…
