es because it is new, and you are alive. That is what the resurrectio=
n reminds us, even though our hearts can be heavy, like the two in the text=
above, traveling from Jerusalem after the crucifixion event. But the road =
to Emmaus also teaches us that Jesus is alive and with us, even as we wrest=
le with the meaning of events in our everyday living. Emmaus also tea=
ches us that the communion moment is a central part of our faith (v. 30,31)=
, for it opens our eyes to the power of God’s presence. Live today re=
membering that when God is with you, anything is possible…
