Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled wit=
h the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms,=
hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to t=
he Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Fath=
er for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I know its going to be a g=
orgeous day here in Boston, and I thought this is a great passage of script=
ure for a spring/summer-like day. I wanted to remind you of its richn=
ess. And days like today remind me that I can’t get enough of the Spi=
rit in my life. Perhaps this feeling is one reason why being “spirit =
filled” is contrasted with wine drinking. People who drink and get dr=
unk can’t get enough alcohol in them (Proverbs 23:29-35). In the beli=
ever’s context, at its highest expression, the Spirit should flow freely in=
your life. So meditate on the text and apply it today. Let go =
and let God…
your way in my life today. Let Your Spirit flow through me and to my=
family, to my friends, to my co-workers and neighbors… in Jesus name, AM=
EN.
