Some of you have =
heard that my father passed away recently. Last week I was back in No=
rth Carolina for the funeral, and an amazing reunion of family that brought=
back many memories of my own childhood. You might remember the sermo=
ns I preached that included stories of Browntown; and of my summers in that=
tiny village that was my great grandfather’s expansive farm. My Dad =
was a victim of a stroke 11 years ago. But he didn’t let that hinder =
his living – both he and his family in Savannah, GA still had wonderful tim=
es together, and I still enjoyed my conversations with him when he was able=
. Jesse Brown’s endurance through all his difficulties and his fierce=
spirit is the inspiration for our text today. Fearless living is abo=
ut fighting the good fight, and living abundantly well regardless of what l=
ife throws at you. Thank you, for allowing me space to be with family=
last week, and my God bless you…
d, help us to live our lives today according to the abundance that is withi=
n us. An abundance that comes from your death and resurrection.  =
;It is in Your name we pray this request, and we say AMEN
