We must consistently see=
k forgiveness from the Lord. Because Jesus died for our sins, his blo=
od cleanses us from iniquity. But our forgiveness is as much a state =
of mind and spirit as it is an action of God. The text says “forgive =
us…as we also have forgiven…”. The 15th verse is always a wake-up=
call for me – that God is serious about this principle, and our forgiving =
acts cannot be selective or half-hearted.
what I want them to be, and so often the good I want to do, I don’t do.&nb=
sp; Lord, forgive me, and teach me to be forgiving as you are forgiving, in=
Jesus name, AMEN.
