The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they =
go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasure=
s, and they do not mature. 15 But the seed on good s=
oil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain=
it, and by persevering produce a crop.

Life can choke and constri=
ct your spiritual maturity if you’re not careful. But if you look clo=
sely, it is not about actual choking, but about how life’s issues can d=
istract you that will retard your growth in Christ. Actually, if=
you resist anything that gets in the way of your reading and seeking under=
standing of the word of God (v.11), you can face whatever life throws at yo=
u. The word of God will grow inside your spirit and enhance your life=
if you let it. It is a key to maturity. How’s your daily study=
? Start working on it today…
I pray that you will lead me into maturity, as I find a reliable and regul=
ar way of studying the word of God. Help me to see my bible study as =
important to me as breathing. I pray that life does not hinder me, but inst=
ead helps me to enhance my understanding of the word of God. In Jesus name,=
