42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship,=
to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43&=
nbsp;Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs pe=
rformed by the apostles. 44 All the=
believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone=
who had need. 46 Every day they co=
ntinued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread i=
n their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the=
people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were =
being saved.

In order to grow we need =
a caring family – which is the essence of fellowship. I had forgotten=
the way in which a church comes alive during a pot “bless” dinner. I=
ts not a perfect thing – pot luck does not equal shangri-la (although baked=
chicken, rice and peas and greens comes close). Fellowship must be w=
orked on and worked through, person to person, . The early church dev=
oted themselves to fellowship (v. 42). The older brother had to figur=
e out a way to celebrate with his younger brother despite their issues (Luk=
e 15:32). In the electronic age, the pull of isolation can plague us.=
Coming together in fellowship can help your spiritual growth…
low brothers and sisters. Help me see the meaning behind communion, a=
nd in how you brought together 12 people from different backgrounds and ide=
ologies and called them “friends”, in Jesus name, AMEN.
