The NIV says it this way:&=
nbsp; He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the=
way so that I may show him the salvation of God! But I like the Amer=
ican Standard Version because it pulls out thanksgiving as sacrifice. =
We usually see saying “thank you” as optional, or as a courtesy. The=
psalmist sees it as a necessary offering to God. Even if yesterday d=
id not yield what you wanted, we must give thanks today in all things. =
; Its a way of ordering our steps to the Lord…
Lord, we thank you today, for everything you’ve give=
n us. We praise your open hand. And we give thanks for unknown =
blessings already on their way, in Jesus name, AMEN. =
