Isaiah’s prophesies kep=
t the people strong and hopeful during a horrible exile. Chapter 11 c=
ontains the characteristics of the nation’s savior. From the root of =
Jesse will emerge the one who will lead the nation away from the turmoil of=
banishment, and back to a time of peace, hope, and opportunity. This=
will come to pass because the “Spirit of the Lord” is upon him. The =
Spirit comes to bring peace in your life too. Take some time today an=
d find moments of peace through the Spirit. Jesus can make the wolf l=
ie down with the lamb, both inside and outside you…
O God we praise you for peace in our lives, from the time we awok=
e this morning until now. I ask that you keep us in perfect peace, as=
we keep our minds stayed on you, in Jesus name, AMEN.
