Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who is=

The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
And afterward more heavily oppressed her,

I often write the devotio=
nals in the early morning. Its quiet then, and I enjoy reading script=
ures first thing in the morning. I also love the way the light slowly=
comes into the room while I’m writing. Before then, only the eerie c=
omputer light is present. But the dawn reassures me that I am alive, =
and that I am blessed with a new day. This prophecy was seen as a gre=
at light to the people of Israel, and the light points the way “home” to th=
em. In the midst of war and the threat of exile, getting assurance fr=
om the Word through Isaiah that a new dawn is coming is revelatory. T=
he Word does that for us. God’s word encourages, and brings joy to an=
yone who needs it. Be encouraged today…
Bless them, encourage them, assure them through Your word, so that their j=
oy will be complete, in Jesus name, AMEN.
