rings me to reflect on my Dad. I remember when he came home f=
rom Vietnam the first time. My mother and brothers prayed for him eve=
ry night, and when Dad came home on a summer night to surprise us, we were =
excited and grateful. I truly felt that night that God answered my pr=
ayers, and, as my brothers and I jumped around him, I knew the Lord was wit=
h us. You can depend on the scripture above. Isaiah speaks this=
prophecy to an embattled Israel and says boldly that your insurance agains=
t annihilation is the name Immanuel. It literally means “God With Us”=
. God continues to be with us today and always…
Lord, thank you for being with us. Show us this day the s=
igns of your presence in our lives. Teach us to be more appreciative =
of what You do in us and through us, in Jesus name, AMEN.
