Overcoming Shame

The psalmist speaks of sh=
ame.  Shame is a feeling of disgrace brought on by a confirmation of u=
nworthiness.  Grace is unworthiness turned on its head.  In other=
words, despite our unworthiness (or even because of it – Rom. 5:8), God ye=
t lifts us.  Our response is to place our hope in God.  Remember =
today that our abundant living comes as a result of God’s mercy and love, a=
nd not because of our own righteousness…

D=
ear Jesus, shower us with your Grace and Mercy today.  Guide us to You=
r truth, teach us Your ways, and don’t let us be put to shame today, in You=
r name we pray, AMEN.

God bless,
