Every morning, I am brace=
myself for the return of Ezekiel. My cat, that is! Around 5:30=
every morning, he takes a break from guarding the house (a job he does wel=
l!) , and jumps on the bed to play with me. He likes to sneak up, so =
I don’t know at what point he will pounce. But its a morning ritual t=
hat I still enjoy. Reminds me of the text above. The church at =
Thessalonica came into existence under terrible persecution. Bu=
t the thought of Paul coming to visit, and the thought of deliverance by Je=
sus gave them joy, hope and courage. Paul urged them to grow in=
their faith and maintain warm relationships with each other. We can =
strengthen our own faith by encouraging each other. So who will you e=
ncourage today?
Lord, we pray th=
is day that you will let love overflow from us and to our relationships.&nb=
sp; Give us opportunities to strengthen the fellowship we have with our sis=
ters and brothers. Bless our efforts in Jesus name we pray, AMEN.&nbs=
