In this psalm David speaks=
movingly of the angst involved in dragging our confession of sin out in ou=
r lives. Keeping a confession away from God can allow guilt and=
shame to sap life out of us. Sin counts against us, but the Lord doe=
s not want us to wallow in it. Only by being transparent with God can=
we begin to be freed from the grips of iniquity. Acknowledge your si=
n, include forgiveness everyday in your prayers, so that verses 1 and 2 can=
encourage you…
Lord, forgive me of my sins and my shortcomings today. Help me t=
o be reflective in my meditations, so I can clearly see where I transgress =
Your ways. Thank you for being my Savior – dying on the cross so that=
I may have abundant life today! AMEN.
