18 There is no other god like you, O Lord; you forgive the sins of you=
r people who have survived. You do not stay angry forever, but you take ple=
asure in showing us your constant love.
19 You will be merciful to us once again. You will trample our sins u=
nderfoot and send them to the bottom of the sea!

Fearlessly Embracing Mercy

Mercy is not a burden that God h=
as to endure, but it is something that He “delights” in doing.  Micah =
says that God throws our sins away into the depths of the sea – to a place =
so deep that they are no longer recognizable, even by God!  Ever got a=
ngry at a friend, and by the time you were through being mad, it was too la=
te to reconcile?  God is not like that.  God’s desire is=
reconciliation and moving on in faith, pure and simple.  So, there is=
no excuse why you cannot show mercy in your life.  Remember mercy is =
exactly for those who do not deserve it.  Keep in mind, you y=
ourself do not deserve God’s favor, but God’s mercy makes it possible.&nbsp=
; So, today, go, and do likewise…
 “Lord,
remember Christ your=
son who is peace itself

and who has washed away our =
hatred with his blood.

Because you love all people,
look with mercy on us.
Banish th=
e violence and evil within us,

and in answer to our p=
rayers restore tranquility and peace”.  AMEN

God bless,
