Remembering Henrietta Attles
I found out this morning that my friend and ministerial colle=
ague, Henrietta Attles went to be with the Lord. She is best known as=
the former First Lady of St. Paul AME Church in Cambridge, and a former me=
mber of the Cambridge School Committee. For many years our families s=
hared a ministerial field, holding down the same corner of Central Square i=
n the city. St. Paul is one of the flagship churches in the AME constellati=
on, and the Attles family was well know in its system. Many past bish=
ops and mega-church pastors developed their “spiritual bones” there, and He=
nrietta was part of their nurture. Our text reminds me of her l=
ife. If you walk in God’s ways, Goodness and Mercy will follow.  =
;They have both, joyfully, caught up to my friend. Please pray for th=
e Attles and St. Paul family today… Lord w=
e thank you for the life of Henrietta, and for the blessing of serving you =
in all ways. Thank you for the lives you touched through her. B=
