Fearlessly Back to School

This week begins the slow march of kid=
s back to school.  Amid their sullen faces is the joyful look of paren=
ts watching them board buses or walk with friends to the buildings of learn=
ing :-)  In Solomon’s day, children were not only considered a blessin=
g from God, they were also part of a family’s inheritance from God’s endowm=
ent for humanity.  As a great warrior is known in part by the quality =
of his instruments, so we are known by the seeds we sow in our youth. =
The point to remember is in verse 5.  We all some day will have to de=
fend ourselves from adversaries (enemies at the gate).  Taking a stand=
becomes easier, and your attitude changes when you don’t stand alone (v. 3=
-5).  Remember to pray for your family and friends today – especially =
school-age children…

Lord, I ask this day that you remind me of Your hand in my life, and =
help me to see my problems in a different way.  Give me the insight to=
sow my faith in You in my family and friends, in Jesus name,  AMEN.

God bless,
